Artist, Musician, Teacher.

Since receiving his first guitar at the age of 10, Rosli’s passion for music has steadily grown, shaped by influences like The Beatles, The Carpenters, and the Bee Gees. As his skills developed, he was inspired by guitar legends such as Jeff Beck, Larry Carlton, Bill Frisell, Robben Ford, and fretless guitar virtuoso Erkan Oğur. This dedication to mastery led him to teach guitar at Yamaha Music School in Singapore in the early ’90s. After 24 years with Yamaha, he transitioned to Swee Lee Music as a Senior Music Instructor, where he contributed to product demo videos and lesson articles for Guitar.com, a BandLab Technologies platform.

As a music composer and arranger, Rosli’s creative touch has brought numerous commissioned projects to life, with his work featured in short films, documentaries, theater plays, and advertisements. An experienced session musician and live performer, he has recorded in studio sessions, performed on national television and radio, and held a sold-out concert at the Esplanade. His debut rock guitar instrumental album, Dragged (2007), positioned him as a pioneer in Singapore’s rock instrumental scene. In 2010, he released his second album, Deeper Than Purple, which received critical acclaim and rave reviews from major national publications.

Rosli’s established reputation in the music industry has earned him endorsements from Yamaha Guitars, Laney Amplifications, Valley Arts (under Gibson), Providence Pedals, and Marshall Amplification. His commitment to teaching continues with a range of customized programs designed to help students learn guitar performance and songwriting. His Songwriting program, featuring his unique Tri-M pedagogy, guides students in creating music with intent (Motive), emotion (Mood), and musical structure (Modes).

Today, Rosli is exploring new horizons with Mynahchords, where he leads a team of writers, animators, artists, programmers, and musicians. This creative endeavor is dedicated to blending music with visual art and illustration, exploring the healing potential of music.
